Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Process

1

Assessment of Effectiveness: The M&E process is a crucial element in managing human rights risks and impacts. It involves assessing the effectiveness of various approaches, determining why certain methods are successful or not, and identifying necessary modifications to achieve the objectives outlined in the Human Rights Impact Assessment (HRIA).

2

Continuous Monitoring of Stakeholder Engagement and Policies: Continuously monitoring the stakeholder engagement program, the project’s Environmental and Social (ES) policy, and the handling of community grievances is essential. This monitoring should focus particularly on the effective engagement of vulnerable groups, including women, the elderly, individuals facing poverty, and those with disabilities.

3

Tracking and Documenting Human Rights Violations: It is imperative to systematically track and document any allegations of human rights violations. Thorough investigations should be conducted wherever necessary, and appropriate disciplinary actions should be taken to address these violations.
